Group Research:
As a group, myself and seven other classmates conducted 8 methods of research for our newly chosen building, Alumni Hall. Each of the members have posted at least one of our research methods:
Measuring the building and making the building with group members:
A time lapse around the building:
Each of us spelling out ‘Alumni Hall’ in front of Alumni Hall:
Each of us sitting in opposing positions, given one minute to draw what is in front of us then pass it to the person to our right to do the same thing:
An experimental take on walking the parameters of the building:
Individual Research:
Venturing off on my own, I conducted 10 versions of research for my own personal gain of knowledge about Alumni Hall.

Taking information (literally): I went throughout the building and sought out things that I could gather that were not necessarily as available to the public as the pamphlets and other papers throughout. I gathered things such as: a newspaper from the receptionist desk, a pumpkin decoration, a book of undergraduate studies labeled “Desk Copy”, and a Common Application information triangle.
A quick study (10 Minutes) of the bell within the entrance facing Powell :
Asking for interesting, top secret information from a receptionist:
So is there anything interesting about Alumni Hall that you might be able to tell me?
Receptionist: Not really, its basically an old building used for financial aid, files and tour beginnings.
And what about the supposed suicide that took place in Alumni Hall?
Receptionist: Who told you about that? I am pretty sure it isn’t true.
Anything else?
Receptionist: No, not really.
Thank you.
A watercolor study of the building. I’m not proud of it, but it was done…
Sound recordings from various areas of the buildings: Sitting while typing a part of my post, the area was very dead, not much movement. https://youtu.be/GBiNHlKFyK0
I left my phone on a couch in the lobby, there was obviously more interest and movement about the building at the time.
Documentation of any graffiti found: None to be found, this is very possible because of the respect for the building and its holding of all student’s financial records and such.
A body movement stair walk wherein I taped my phone to my leg and transcended the large spiral-esq stairs at the Powell facing entrance: https://youtu.be/BSPrKL9SErQ
